I am in Shetland right now. I’m sitting in my ex-flatmate Tom’s house. Another ex-flatmate Murray is across the room there.
Tom’s Mother has graciously allowed us into her home for the week, which we have mostly spent wandering about Shetland. Not a great deal to see or do on Shetland, but it is very pretty.
Check out that water. On Shetland. On the North Sea coast. Only a couple miles outside of Lerwick.
Only downside is the 14hour ferry overnight journey. But it’s not too bad if you bring a sleeping bag and get a long-bench in the Six-Forward bar. Returning Saturday night, arriving Sunday morning.
